- MARKET SURVEY/SOURCES SOUGHT (BATTERY RECYCLING) THIS POSTING IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. This is NOT a request for quotations, nor is it a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list or an announcement of a solicitation. This Market Survey/Sources Sought is seeking interested businesses for competitive consideration. The 55th Contracting Squadron, Offutt AFB, NE is conducting a market survey to determine the sizes and types of businesses available for a battery recycling contract. This will be for the opportunity to recycle rechargeable batteries (nickel cadmium, nickel metal hydride, lithium ion, nickel zinc and small sealed lead acid) each weighing less than 11 lbs, as well as cell phones (and their batteries) regardless of size, make, model or age. Prospective firms should notify this office of their interest in this notice by submitting a Capabilities Statement which should include their company size and provide descriptive literature or other documentation, in addition to the following information: (1) Identification of company size status, certifications, i.e., 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or, if you are a small business, a self-certification; (2) If you are a Section 8(a), HUBZone, or SDVOSB firm considering a joint venture, you will need to provide proof that this consideration has been forwarded to the appropriate SBA office for approval; (3) Proof of experience and capability. The NAICS Code is 423930 with an SBA Size Standard of $12.5M. Responses shall be limited to two (2) pages in length and shall be submitted electronically via e-mail addressed to paulette.lopez@offutt.af.mil. Please note this is NOT a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a request for quote or proposal or an announcement of a solicitation. Submissions must be received no later than than Thursday, 5 April, 2011 at 2 PM CT. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this Market Survey/Sources Sought nor return the data provided. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice.
