- Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing Triple Multitron II Incubated Shakers to include existing 93350111B X 2 Multitron with the following components: AJ125 Multitron II NC 25 mm 115V 60Hz ITEM# l10002,QTY: 2 EACO110 integrated CO2 w/door latches ITEM# l51900, QTY: 2 EAHC110 Humidity Option w/baffle & cover ITEM# l52000, QTY: 2 EATriple Stacking Kit, ZM112,ZM110 & ZM106- ITEM# l40100, QTY: 1 EAZM105 Darkening window ITEM# l50130, QTY: 2 EAATM00 tray w/Green Squares (squares 8 x 8) 8 squares Item# l20011, QTY: 2 EA The incubators must have a temperature control and be capable of maintaining 37 C w/an accuracy of 0.2 C: a hermetically sealed chamber with built in CO2 and humidity controllers is required to maintain an atmosphere capable of supporting growth of mammalian cells in bicarbonate buffered media. The unit must have capacity for 6 x 2999 ml Erlenmeyer flasks and an alternate shaking platform which does not require the use of clamps. The incubators must have a 25 mm throw platform, magnetic drive and speed range of 20-400 rpm required for growth of HEK cells in suspension culture. The unit must be capable of stacking onto the existing shaker incubators already in use in the lab due to space limitations. Interested firms with the capability of providing the required products are requested to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 333999 with a size standard of 500 employees. All respondents are requested to identify their firms size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Governments requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed five pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Two (2) copies of the capability statement must be received at the contracting office address identified in this synopsis prior to 12:00p.m (noon) eastern standard time at designated location on March 23, 2011. Capability statement must reference solicitation# NICHD2011100. Capability statement/responses by fax or e-mail WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
