- This is a sources sought notification. This is a market research tool to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing the RFP. This announcement is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. The intent of this notification is to identify potential small business firms capable to provide Fire extinguishers with 10lb (4.54 KG) ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher with External Pressure Cartridge installed on the outside of the unit, Expellant Gas Cartridge for the 10 (4.54 KG) ABC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher, and Mono-ammonium Phosphate-based Fire Extinguishing Agent in a 45lb (20.4kg) Pail. The NAICS code for the proposed competitive procurement is 33999 and the size standard is 500 Employees. The contract will consist of a base period with 4 of (1 year) option, totaling 60 months of performance. Product of supplies and services are to include international shipments to overseas locations. Locations may include the following; East Asia, South and Central America, Africa, and Europe. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), as required by FAR 4.1102 and 4.1201, will apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information of CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at www.ccr.gov. Information on ORCA can be obtained via a link off the CCR website. Interested firms should respond via e-mail to williamsonlr@state.gov no later than 12:00PM (EST). On April 7, 2011. Responses to this notice will only be used to determine the availability of sources and serve as a supplementary market research tool to determine the small business capability under FAR Part 19.
