CONTACTINFORMATION CAN BE FOUND WITHIN THE BODY OF THIS SYNOPSIS.*******NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the purchase of Real-time systems to be used fordemonstrations and verification in support of the System Integration Test Facility (SITF)under the Vehicle Integration project within the future launch vehicle system.NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the products from Concurrent Computer Corporation (CCC) ona sole source bases. Due to the complexity of real-time computing, the systems runningthe real-time operating system must be certified by the provider of the system. Alsocompatibility with existing real-time systems must be maintained which is the systempresently being used at Marshall Space Flight Center.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon 4/1/2011 to Janet Appleton at janet.L.appleton@nasa.gov. Suchcapabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determiningwhether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination bythe Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis,based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
