- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT The National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities for the Centers for Disease Control intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract, in accordance with FAR Part 13, using simplified acquisition procedures, to GeoWise Limited, 28 Maritime Lane, Edinburgh, Midlothian EH6 6RZ, Great Britain. The services to be provided by this contractor include: Maintenance for Instant Atlanta Server; Site development and design to support the addition of health profile reports that can be used by the Disability and Health Program to aid surveillance activities of state partners; revising and updating the current display to improve accessibility for people with disabilities; software enhancements to improve functionality per received user feedback; and any additional training necessary to complete anticipated in-house data loads stemming from the loading of 2010 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System data. GeoWise is the only sourse reasonably available to provide this service because it is the only product capable of creating interactive statistical data presentation and software with inter-linkage of maps, charts, graphs, and tables that are 508c website compliant for people with disabilities. GeoWise Limited is also the only supplier of the Instant Atlas software worldwide and has an existing agreement with the Division of Human Development and Disability for the development of software displays and will provide consultation in the development of additional displays and interface with the CDC website that is scheduled to be launched to the public in April 2011. No Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Any interested companies are welcome to submit their credentials and ability to provide the services, via email, to vfx7@cdc.gov and include referenced number 2011-94838. Please submit any responses by April 15, 2011.
