- Description
- The following service will be performed for the Bureau of Reclamation Alamosa Field Division, Alamosa CO 81101-9045. This service consists of herbicide application to control vegetation around and in the canal. There are various application sites else where at the Bureau of Reclamation. The herbicide application is for weed control along the Franklin Eddy Canal in Alamosa, CO. There is a variety of areas to spray and many different method of spraying. The location is along a 42 mile canal including the canal's inner berm slope and outside slope on both sides, totaling 84 miles. In addition, road crossing, pumping plants feeder canal and the equipment yard located at the main office complex will be includes. The Request for Quotations (RFQ) to follow will cover in detail the herbicides to be used, the number of applications and the environmental concerns. This service will take place during the months of May through September. There will be a possibility of an option year (May through September 2012). The number of applications depends on the growth of the vegetation affecting the canal and surrounding area. More details are in the statement of work, which will be included in the RFQ. There will be a site visit on April 11, 2011 at the Bureau of Reclamation, Alamosa Field Division, and 10900 Hwy 160 E, Alamosa, CO 81101. The resulting contract will be processed using the Simplified Acquisition procedures. The quotes are due by April 15, 2011 by 4:00 p.m. Quotes can be submitted by fax (719) 589-5379, e-mailed to sdarnall@usbr.gov or mailed to Bureau of Reclamation, 10900 Hwy 160 E, Alamosa, CO 81101, Att: Shannon Darnall The approximate award date will be April 27, 2011. This contract is a Total Small Business Set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation and shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation No. R11PS43713 willl be issued on or around April 1, 2011 and will be available for direct downloading from the following website: http://www.fbo.gov. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award.
