- The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU), located in Bethesda, MD on the National Naval Medical Campus (NNMC), has a requirement for twenty seven (27) Apple iMacs with specifications as detailed below. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation, number HU0001-11-T-V267 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to monitor Federal Business Opportunities, http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ for the issuance of any changes/updates to the solicitation. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation and incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-50. Apple's Mac OS X has also been specifically required for using the Flow Cytometry analysis software along with performance of statistical computations PIs use in their studies. Additionally, USUHS has invested on peripherals and software products that are highly-specific for Apple computers to allow the studies to proceed unhampered by issues that can brought upon by incompatible software and hardware devices/peripherals.
