- The VA Dallas,VISN 17 Contracting Division has a requirement for construction services. General Information: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for renovation and additions as a part of the nursing home and domiciliary upgrade as required by drawings and specifications. This work is located in the South Wing Basement Bldg. No. 1, VA North Texas Health Care System, Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center, 1201 E. 9th Street, Bonham, Texas 75418. The type of contract is firm fixed-price. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220, and the acquisition is 100% percent Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) set-a-side. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The issued date for solicitation is on or about April 20, 2011 with a closing date on or about May 20, 2011. There will not be a public bid opening. The resulting contract will be awarded utilizing FAR Part 15 Source Selection techniques Lowest Price Technically Acceptable One award is anticipated from this solicitation the awardee shall be a responsible Business whose proposal conforms to all of the requirements of the solicitation. The Government will conduct a Site Visit, dates to be announced in the forth coming solicitation. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a hard paper copy. Notification of amendments will be made via the Internet. It is the vendor's responsibility to check the Internet daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. Vendors registered with the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the internet after solicitation issuance. Vendors must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) AND VETBIZ as a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business in order to receive a Veteran Affairs Government contract award.
