Description
The FISC Norfolk, Philadelphia Office, intends to acquire, on a competitive, full and open basis, Suicide Prevention Services to the Navy Behavioral Health Office in Millington, TN. The contractor will be expected to support the Navy Behavioral Health program with data collection and reporting and also customer, clinical analysis, communications, training and administrative support. THE DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS SYNOPSIS REFLECT CURRENT KNOWLEDGE AS OF THIS PRINTING. THESE FACTS MAY BE UPDATED OR REVISED IN THE ACTUAL REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS, WHEN ISSUED. The purpose of this requirement is to obtain non personal Suicide Prevention services in support of the Naval Behavioral Health Program. The purpose of the work is to provide staff and services to assist in meeting the objectives of the Navy Suicide Prevent Program and recommendations of the DOD Task Force on Prevention of Suicides among Members of the Armed Forces by providing support to Navy Behavioral Health Office to execute data collection customer support, clinical analysis, communications and training. The contractor shall develop and manage a database for tracking and reporting Navy suicide information. Tasks to be completed also include developing mechanisms and analyzing metrics to evaluate effective of various components of the behavioral health program and specific suicide prevention initiatives, compiling preliminary information summaries for suspected suicides and assisting in completion of a weekly slide for the weekly and monthly reports. The contractor is expected to provide training support that will include providing training at various Navy installations, webinar trainings, and compiling training materials and evaluations. The contractor is to also provide logistical and administrative support that will include arranging meetings, and providing web, e-mail and phone support to command suicide prevent programs. It is anticipated that the contractor personnel will work in office space provided by the Government at Millington, TN and travel to various Navy installations. It is intended that this procurement will be processed in accordance with FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and FAR Part 12 will apply. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price service contract will result from this solicitation. It is anticipated the solicitation will be released during the week of April 18th, 2011. It is anticipated that the basic performance period will be from July 2011 through March 2012 with one (1) twelve-month option period. This requirement full be competed on a full and open basis.
