- SHIPPING LOCATIONS PICS & SPECS INTERESTED VENDORS PLEASE RETURN BY 4/11/2011 Item Description QTY Unit 1 Produce Grading Tables 50-100 ea IAW the specifications First Article Approval-Government Testing will be required IAW FAR 52.209-4. All costs related to these tests are to be borne by the Contractor, including any and all costs for additional tests following a disapproval The Government may waive the requirement for first article approval test where supplies identical or similar to those called for in the schedule have been previously furnished by the Offeror/Contractor and have been accepted by the Government. The Offeror/Contractor may request a waiver. The USDA, Agricultural Marketing Service, Fruit and Vegetable programs, Fresh Products Branch (FPB), intends to acquire 50-100 produce grading tables. The Contractor shall provide labor and materials to fabricate and ship the tables in accordance with the attached drawing and pictures. This effort may be awarded to more than one contractor in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)13-101(b)(1). Prices proposed should reflect FOB Origin as the Government will pay the shipping to the destinations. The ship to addresses and quantities for each will be provided to the awardee(s). Assembly instructions shall be included with each table and are considered a part of the delivery requirement. See the drawing for packaging and shipping requirements. The Contractor is responsible for assuring packing and packaging is adequate to protect the table during shipment. The Contractor must be able to produce ten (10) units of Item 1 within 45 calendar days from the date of contract to the Government, to be shipped to the addresses provided by USDA upon notification that tables are ready for shipment. An additional ten (10) units shall be produced within 90 and 135 days with notification to USDA at the end of each 45-day period. USDA will notify the Contractor when additional ten-unit lots are needed, allowing 45 calendar days to produce each lot, until the total of 50-100 units is completed. Any unshipped tables will need to be stored by the Contractor, ready for shipment, until completion of the contract. A detailed version of the measurements is attached as a PDF. The USDA inspection table is a required minimum 0.090" thick welded aluminum. The table has a lamp, locking swivel and rigid casters, tubestand with hook for hanging scale, a shelf that will hold up to 200 lbs., rod for hanging sorting bags and a storage compartment. Approximate dimensions: 32" wide x 52" long x 36" high; weighs approximately 99 pounds. Assembly required. FOB origin. **These specifications are a work in progress. A finished detailed set of specifications will be provided to bidders if this requirement is solicited. ** Interested sources are encouraged to complete and return Attachment 1 to the contracting office. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice.
