- The 410th Contracting Support Brigade intends to award a requirement to support HQ USSOUTHCOM Regional Engagement Office (J-59) for conference room space, lodging, meals, audio/visual equipment, & a Welcome (social event) reception to support a CENTRAL AMERICAN NATIONS SECURITY CONFERENCE (CENTSEC) in San Pedro, Belize for 27 April - 6 May 11. 410th Contracting Support Brigade intends to award the requirement to Sandy Points Resort (address), The Conference Facilities must be able to accommodate 80 participants. The Contractor shall provide for lodging for participants staying at the hotel. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinner meals for participants staying at the hotel will be included in the contract. Conference meetings are scheduled for 3-5 May 2011. All conference and hotel facilities are subject to Vet Inspection by US Government personnel and must result in an acceptable Vet Inspection rating. The Conference and hotel facilities are subject to a Force Protection Inspection. Contract award is contingent upon certification of facilities by a favorable Force Protection Inspection report. This procurement is being conducted under the FAR Subpart 12 Commercial Items. The proposed action is for a Conference Requirement in San Pedro, Belize. The requirement includes Lodging, Meals, Conference Facilities, Audio Visual Equipment and Social Events for approximately 80 participants who the Government believes that there is only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy the agency's requirement. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition to support this acquisition has been prepared. Firms that believe they can meet the requirements described above are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Those firms believing they can meet the requirements must provide supporting evidence that they can furnish the requirements identified above in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements with no break in service. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. The Government will consider all responses received within 7 days of the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered strictly for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
