Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, Veterans Integrated Systems Network (VISN) 1 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source for the supplier/distributor of Stryker medical supplies. Alliant Healthcare, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is the sole provider of all Stryker Medical's products to federal government healthcare facilities and has been since December 1, 2008. The associated NAICS code for this surgical equipment manufacturing is 339113 with a size standard of 500 employees. The vendor: Alliant Healthcare Products, 8850 M89, Richland, MI 49083-8558. Please see attachment for the items that are to be added to the contract. Quantities are based on prior year usage and are only estimates and are not guaranteed. A firm fixed price contract with four option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This is not a Request for Proposal. However, any other surgical product manufacturer that provides sufficient documentation that they manufacturer similar surgical products must submit their technical capabilities, to include, technical specifications of a similar product line to Stryker's ; as well as past performance information specific to this request, price and delivery time upon ordering. This information will be reviewed by the Government's technical representatives for consideration for future requirements. Email statements are required.
