Description
This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE for Market Research ONLY to obtain best industry practices concerning full food services. NO AWARD will be made from this RFI. NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATONS, OR DRAWINGS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a training campus, FBI Academy, located on 385 rural acres in Quantico, Virginia. This facility houses over 750 mid-career students and law enforcement officials attending various law enforcement training programs. Some of these programs focus on physical fitness. Students are dependent on the food services seven days a week, three meals a day, including holidays. Over 750 employees also utilize the food services on a daily basis. The FBI would like to offer all patrons high quality, healthy dining options. The FBI would like to gather information from the food service community pertaining to best practices for operating and maintaining a cafeteria style dining hall which is comparable to universities and conference centers. We are also interested in information regarding the operation of multiple al a carte eateries. All interested parties are requested to provide detailed information to include, but not limited to, best practices as it relates to the following: -Menu Planning -Nutrition -Food Preparation -Consumption Analysis -Pricing/Payment Options -Dining Amenities -Sanitation -Equipment Procurement -Management Responsibilities & education -Personnel Security/Background You may submit your response to this office in writing by e-mail to almeta.austin@ic.fbi.gov or U.S. mail by April 29, 2011, 4:00 p.m. local time to the attention of Ms. Almeta Austin, Room 10254, 935 Pennsylvania Avenue, Northwest, Washington, DC 20535. PLEASE NOTE: The Government may use, duplicate, or disclose the information in whole or in part for any purpose. In addition, there will be a conference held on April 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. to have an open forum to discuss best industry standards. The conference will also include a tour of the dining facilities. Information concerning the conference will be provided to the respondents of this announcement at a later date. However, at a minimum the FBI will require the name and the social security number of each attendee.
