Description
THE FOLLOWING IS THE APPROVED LIST OF VENDORS (TO DATE): ChemTica Internacional/Synergy Semiochemicals --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- APHIS is conducting a trial agreement to evaluate the initial plastic sample and upon approval, evaluate the multi-funnel traps. The requested products are needed to equip USDA, APHIS, PPQ, CPHST, Otis Laboratory with traps to develop and improve existing EAB methodologies. Semiochemically-baited traps are a primary detection tool used to delimit, and survey the extent of the pest infestation. As studies are conducted and new methodology is developed, they are introduced into the nationwide survey programs. PROSPECTIVE VENDORS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING TIMETABLES : (1) HAVE AN EXECUTED TRIAL AGREEMENT SIGNED BY THE CONTRACTING OFFICER BY NOVEMBER 1, 2010 (UNLESS EXTENDED) BEFORE EVALUATION OF THEIR PRODUCT SAMPLES; (2) MUST PROVIDE AN INITIAL PLASTIC SAMPLE BY NOVEMBER 15, 2010, AND (3) UPON APPROVAL OF PLASTIC SAMPLE, PROVIDE SAMPLE TRAPS FOR FIELD WORK EVALUATION BY APRIL 15, 2011. TO BE GRANTED AN EXECUTED TRIAL AGREEMENT AND A COPY OF THE TRIAL STATEMENT OF WORK, THE VENDOR MUST SUBMIT A SIGNED AGREEMENT AND A MEMO ON CONTRACTOR LETTERHEAD CERTIFYING THAT IT MEETS THE TIMETABLE ABOVE AND ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: (1) Able to produce multi-funnel traps in colors other than black or white using the timetable above; (2) (2) Able to change their trap's surface to make it slicker to include polishing molds, changing the plastic type, etc, if requested by the government during trial evaluation; and (3) Title to samples acquired and paid for by the Government for this trial agreement shall pass to the Government upon acceptance, regardless of when and where the Government takes physical possession. The Contractor shall not release, reproduce, or distribute the product produced during this trial agreement to the public without written permission of the Contracting Officer and until approved and posted in FEDBIZOPPS in 2012. APHIS will list the companies with multi-funnel traps that have been approved for use in the USDA, APHIS, Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) program in the government's point of entry (GPE): www.fedbizopps.gov
