Description
Lewis & Clark Maps Helena Maps Full Solicitation F - AG-03H6-S-11-0006 Carbaryl Spraying Services on the Helena and Lewis & Clark National Forests. Project locations are on the Helena, Lincoln, Belt, White Sulpher and Judith Ranger Districts. Locations are in designated recreation and administrative sites. An estimate of 7,501 lodgepole and or ponderosa pine trees shall be sprayed to protect from the mountain pine beetle. Work required includes all activities associated with spraying the circumference of trunks of designated trees from the root collar to a height of 50 feet or to where the diameter of the trunk is less thatn 5 inches in diameter (whichever is lowest). Amount of chemical to be applied must be sufficient to soak the bark to the point of runoff. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies and icidentals needed to perform all work required including the appropriate mix of carbaryl and a surfactant sticking agent. Hoses shall be capable of reaching at least 150 feet to reach all trees designated while keeping vehicle on established roads. Sprayer must be capable of spraying 50 feet high. Generally this is a minimum of 300 PSI with a washer nozzle and a #8 orifice. Contractor must be a licensed forest pesticide applicator per Montana Dept. of Agriculture. Period of performance is estimated at June 1, 2011 to June 22, 2011. Project magnitude is between $25,000 and $150,000.
