Description
This document provides responses to questions received to date. This document will be updated, as necessary, upon receipt of additional questions. On behalf of the CDL Executive Agent (EA), and the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Intelligence (OUSD(I)), the CDL Program Management Office (PMO) requests the Industry's inputs to determine if existing Directional Antennas (DAs) or those that are currently in development, may be of use in operational CDL deployments with Mini CDL terminals on small UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) to increase range. These antennas must be of greater gain, lower Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) and lower cost than existing DAs, and should have a TRL level of at least 3, and be deployable in less than 5 years, with fully functional prototypes demonstrated in a flight test in less than 3 years, at moderate risk. Please refer to the attached RFI document and Appendix A for specific requirements. Responses by interested firms and/or Government agencies are required by close of business 8 April 2011. All responses must be unclassified. Proprietary information will be accepted and handled appropriately. Responders should indicate which portions of their response are proprietary and shall be marked accordingly. Please provide your responses in the form of a "white paper" no more than 20 pages in length. Include in that paper your project/initiative related information, addressing the needs defined in this request. Submissions shall be made by e-mail to Mr. Bob Roe, Civ, at Bob.Roe@hanscom.af.mil with a courtesy copy to Ms. Alison Lauer, Civ, at Alison.Lauer@hanscom.af.mil and Mr. Charlie Flammer, ETASS Contractor at Charlie.Flammer.ctr@hanscom.af.mil.
