- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT and is issued for INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. This is not a SOLICITATION. This is NOT a request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to evaluate or purchase any goods or services. The Government will not reimburse for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information or materials furnished in response to this sources sought notice. Information received as a result of this notice will become part of our market research and used to determine interest and capability of potential sources. Proprietary information will be protected to the greatest extent provided by law. PARTICIPATION FROM THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) is seeking potential sources with the capabilities to provide Training Ammunitions and Munitions for the Joint Planning and Assistance Teams (JPAT) in Peru and Panama. The Government is contemplating an IDIQ requirements type contract with FFP task orders. Contract duration will be for a base year and three (3) one-year option periods. There will also be follow on quarterly options during the Base Year. The customer will order quantities as needed. These options may or may not be exercised. The customer may also order munitions in quantities less than but not to exceed the amounts indicated in the quarterly option tables. The objective of this effort is to provide a commercial vehicle for the purchase and shipping of training ammunition for Combatant Commanders that is efficient and meets the training requirements of the down range components and Host Nations. The requirement is to order and receive ammunition in the same quarter and in single shipments (i.e. NOT having the order delivered on multiple aircraft on disparate schedules) where possible. The Scope of Work (SOW) includes a representational list of types of ammunition and munitions that customers have indicated that they require. The National Stock Number (NSN), Department of Defense Identification Code (DODIC) and ammunition nomenclatures for the types are listed below. Maximum quantities (rounds, pallets, clips, etc) of each munitions type will be identified within the Solicitation Notice if a future contract award is determined. The contractor shall advise their business size status in their response.
