Description

Due to an urgent and compelling need, the proposed contract action is for supplies using simplified acquisition procedures, for which the Government intends to conduct an oral solicitation under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(c) for surgical staple reloads for the Puget Sound Health Care System's Seattle VA Medical Center. The Government would be seriously injured if the agency complies with the time periods specified in FAR 5.203 due to patient health being compromised if operating procedures are rescheduled due to lack of this supply. No solicitation document is available and telephone inquiries will be honored; interested parties shall submit literature detailing how their supplies meet the VA requirements. Responses received on or before close of business April 7, 2011 will be considered.
