Description
Sole Source The Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center at Yuma Proving Grounds, Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with ADEK Industrial Computers, 3 Infinity Drive Raymond, NH 03077. This requirement is for a custom built Computer, KTM Control System Processor Assembly. Only ADEK Industril Computers has the proprietary knowledge required to integrate the computers into YPG's existing sytems. This system will allow upgrades and make operational newly acquired KTM's (Kineto Tracking Mounts) from older stock found at other testing installation to be refurbished to current operational standards of present fleet of KTM's with installation of identical control systems for these 'new" tracking mounts. The control systems for KTM will include the capability for current legacy control, for updated control systems and for future in-shop controller design/programming and update needs. This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12 and FAR 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334111 with a with a size standard of 1000 employees. This contract will consist of one Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001, Quantity: 8, Unit of Issue: each, Description: Computer, KTM Control System Processor Assembly. The Award for this requirement will be in accordance with FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet these requirements by 18 April 2011 8:00 AM MST.
