- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is looking to procure 8 each Heavy Duty Workbenches. This requirement is 100% Set Aside for Small Businesses. The following list of specifications applies: SPECIFICATIONS 1. This requirement is to provide (8) Heavy Duty Laboratory Workbenches. 2. Workbenches shall be assembled by way of the vendor in Build 355, Room 130. 3. Room 130 is located on the ground floor, accessible via a 10' x 12' garage door which separates room 130 from the building 355 north side parking lot. Fork trucks could be made available upon request. 4. The workbenches shall be capable of withstanding a minimum of 1000 lbs of total additional weight distributed between the work surface, the upper adjustable shelves (described in paragraph 9) and under work surface shelves (described in paragraph 11). 5. Shall be made of extruded aluminum, steel, a combination or equivalent construction with ample bracing to eliminate any racking of the workbench while being moved with full load. All steel shall be painted to prevent oxidation. 6. The primary color of the workbenches shall be Blue with a dark colored work surface. 7. Workbenches shall be mobile capable via 360 degree heavy duty casters capable of handling the full 1000 lbs of weight while being moved. The caster shall be either retractable or locking. Movement may be required over a 1" height curb when going from garage area to parking lot. 8. Work surface shall be 72"W x 30"D and made of a durable solid phenolic. The height of the work surface shall be the standard 30" height. 9. Two vertically adjustable 15" - 18" depth shelves made of a non-laminate material, capable of handling 100 lbs of equipment each, shall be located over the back half of the work surface area. The adjustability shall be a minimum of 2" height resolution. The width of the shelves shall be 72". The heights shall be adjustable between 12" and 36" above the work surface. The back edge of these shelves shall be in line with the back edge of the work surface. 10. Workbench shall include horizontal or vertical power strip(s) with a minimum of 8 - 115VAC 15 Amp outlets with resettable breakers and a 15' power cord with 115VAC standard connector. The outlets shall be accessible from the front of the workbench and located above the work surface and below the level of the adjustable shelves (not under the work surface). 11. (2) Hanging open storage shelves (perhaps called storage bin) shelves made of a non-laminate material with one adjustable shelf each and a minimum dimension of 16"W X 20"H X 16"D shall be located under the work surface. The storage shelves shall be located close to the front of the work benches for easy access and toward the left and right side of the workbench. No doors and no drawers shall be used, only open shelves (bins). Each open storage bin shall be capable of handling 100 lbs of equipment. 12. The workbenches shall include ample room for legs and seating area of a lab stool under the middle third of the work surface between the above hanging shelves mentioned in paragraph 9. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation; this announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All vendors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) Database. The internet website is http://www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil/ccringq or www.ccr.gov. It is mandatory to register with the CCR as your Duns Number(Data Universal Numbering System) and your CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) code will be required to conduct business with the Department of Defense. In addition, all invoices will be electronically submitted in the Wide Area Work Flow(WAWF); information available in FAR Clause 5252.232-9513. Additional information required: Cage Code, Duns Number, Tax ID Number, Payment Terms, Delivery schedule, Delivery charges if applicable, GSA contract number if applicable, Business size, and Email address.
