Description

The National Park Service has a requirement for Vegetation Inventory Study and Sampling Plans at Yellowstone National Park, Gulf Coast Network, and Glen Canyon National Park and Preserve.This procurement is in support of the NPS Vegetation Inventory program and involves three tasks as follows:Item 0001 Prepare a sampling plan for vegetation field plots for the Glen Canyon / Rainbow Bridge National Recreation Area. Item 0002 Document information on applicable existing data and products and develop a study and sampling plan for the vegetation inventories of six of the National Park units in the Gulf Coast Network (Big Thicket National Preserve, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Jean Lafitte National Historical Park, Natchez Trace Parkway, Padre Island National Seashore, and Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park) Two parks in the Gulf Coast Network that are completed are San Antonio Missions and Vicksburg. Sampling plans are not required for Natchez Trace, and existing preliminary products are present for Palo Alto Battlefield, Jean Lafitte, and Big Thicket and the project is to evaluate the presence, value, and completeness of the park products.Item 0003 Document information on applicable existing data and prepare a study and sampling plan for the vegetation inventory of Yellowstone National Park. The solicitation will be issued as a commercial item using Part 13, Simplified Acquistion Procedures, of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. A firm fixed price purchase order is contemplated. Request for Quotation will be issued o/a April 12, 2011 with a response date of April 21, 2011. This action is a small business set aside under NAICS code 541620, Environmental Consulting Services.
