- NASA Ames Research Center is hereby soliciting information about potential sourcesfor the design/build of the rehabilitation of Hangar 1, a historic property located atMoffett Field, California. The hangar is currently undergoing environmental clean up toremove hazardous materials. The remediation of environmental contamination and theremoval of hazardous material are being undertaken by the US Navy. At the conclusion ofthe Navys environmental cleanup, the hangar will be returned to NASA as a structure freeof hazardous materials, but without the exterior siding, roof, and windows. NASAsintent is to rehabilitate the hangar with new metal siding, restore the historic windows,install a new roof on the upper crown of the hangar and return the hangar to a state ofusefulness. The estimated cost is over $25,000,000. The NAICS Code and size standardfor this procurement is 236220 and $33.5M respectively.No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Serviced. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sitesfor the release of any solicitation or synopsis.Responses must include the following: name and address of firm; average annual revenuefor the past three (3) years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are large,small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, service disabled-veteran owned; and/orwoman-owned; number of years in business; affiliate information: parent company, jointventure partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potentialsubcontractor) or subcontractors (if potential prime); list of customers covering thelast five (5) years (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type,dollar value of each procurement, and point of contact address and phone number). Alsoprovide bonding capacity project. Technical and/or Procurement questions should bedirected to Teresa Marshall.This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not construed as acommitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemedfully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement.The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(a), HUBZone, ServiceDisabled-Veteran Owned, and Woman-Owned set aside based on responses hereto.
