Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. Firm, fixed-price offers are requested under Request for Quotation (RFQ) solicitation number L09PA00148. This document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-45. This solicitation is set-aside 100% for small business. The Product Service Code is 5680, and the NAICS code is 423320. The small business size standard is 100 employees. Bureau of Land Management has a requirement for Painted Rock Road and Parking, Aggregate Baserock. Following is the Statement of Work: Description: This purchase will include acquisition, jobsite delivery, and dump spreading of approximately 7,000 tons of angular crushed aggregate baserock. All materials will be required to be angular crushed rock. All materials will be required to be a light brown to red/brown mix in color. A material submittal for color may be required prior to contract award. The material will be delivered to Painted Rock Rd., cross street of Soda Lake Rd. approximately 15-20 miles east of the Soda Lake Rd junction with CA-Hwy 58 in eastern San Luis Obispo County, California. The material will be delivered and spread in approximately 25 ton quantities by use of a bottom dump (75%) and transfer truck (25%) by the successful vendor. It is anticipated that the materials will be delivered in a 2-4 week period beginning in November. Item 1: 3/4 Aggregate Baserock, Qty: 7,000 tons delivered and dump spread (The materials will be compatible with the Caltrans Class 2 Aggregate Baserock Specification or the attached non-CALTRANS AB Spec) Item 2: 3/8 Minus, angular crushed rock, Qty: 550 tons, delivered and dump spread (The 3/8 minus materials will be similar to crushed rock dust, or crushed rock mixed coarse sands. The materials must be compactable into a binding smooth finished surface to meet American Disabilities Act, Chapter 3, Section 302 - Floor or Ground surface Requirements).
