- Amendment 1 - to suspend the solicitation until April 25, 2011. ****THIS SOLICITATION HAS BEEN SUSPENDED UNTIL APRIL 25, 2011**** The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric and Administration (NOAA), and National Data Buoy Center (NDBC), intends to procure a contract for printed circuit boards in accordance with attached RFQ. The solicitation number is NWWG9502-11-03420, and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), attached. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-47, effective January 2011. Quotes must be submitted on Form SF 1449. This is a small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this action is 334418. Small business size standard shall not to exceed 500 employees. This support service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items Procedures. Interested parties can request a copy of the Request for Quotation or download a copy from this site to obtain the Request for Quotation. The government requires that all contractors doing business with the government must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following website: http://www.ccr.gov/. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number. A Dun & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dun & Bradstreet on-line at https://www.dnb.com/product/eupdate/requestOptions.html or by phone at (800) 333-0505. The government now requires all contractors submit their Certification and Representation thru the on-line Business Partner Network (BPN). The BPN is the single source for vendor data for the federal government. Contractors should go on-line at www.bpn.gov. Award will not be made to any contractor that is not registered in CCR and BPN. Is this solicitation open to any CCR registered, small business, capable of manufacturing PCB assemblies or is it only open to those who have made these boards in the past? Answer: Any small business registered in CCR capable of manufacturing PCB assemblies. Q2: The solicitation indicates that NDBC is to provide all the parts to populate the PCB's, does this include the bare boards as well? Answer: We are not supplying the bare boards only the parts to populate the PCBs. Q3: Are drawings and build instructions available for a build to print type of operation?
