- NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) has a requirement for oceanographic research buoys to be used in the TAO and CO2 programs. The TAO buoys will be used in the RAMA and PIRATA arrays while the CO2 buoys will be used in the pCO2 and pCO2-AO moorings. PMEL also has a requirement for T-FLEX electronics fiberglass cases. The Contractor shall furnish oceanographic research buoys in accordance with the terms of this solicitation and the specifications identified in the Government furnished drawing packages. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment and supplies to perform the following Statement of Work/Specifications as specified herein: I. Buoys II. T-FLEX electronics fiberglass cases Statement of Work/Specifications for each of the items manufacture/production can be found in its respective drawing package. The contractor must adhere to all dimensions and to the specified quality of manufacture and assembly for all items. This will be a Fixed Price, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. The Period of performance is for a one (1) year base period and four (4) one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 325211 with a size standard of 500 Employees. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation documents may be available on or about April 25, 2011 at the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps or FBO) website: http://www.fbo.gov/. The ESTIMATED response due date is May 26, 2011; however, the actual date offers are due will be stated within the solicitation documents. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [Add To Watchlist] and [Add Me To Interested Vendors] features which provide a notification when the RFP becomes available for download as well as all postings of information associated with this solicitation, thereafter. Each potential offeror is responsible for checking the FedBizOpps website to gain all current information related to the solicitation. The solicitation and any further announcements regarding the solicitation will be posted only at http://www.fbo.gov/. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR.
