- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability and capability of small businesses including certified 8(a), Small Disadvantaged businesses and HUBZone firms, Veteran and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses,and Women-Owned small businesses to provide Hazardous Waste Disposal. This notice is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, Solicitations, Request for Quotes, or an indication the Government will contract for services contained herein. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with submitting the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to this Sources Sought. Any responses received will not be used as a proposal. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking to identify any small business that can provide the following: * Lab-Packing of incompatible materials. * Removal, transport, disposal of alkaline and lithium batteries. * Removal, transport and disposal of corrosive wastes. * Removal, transport and disposal of organic waste mixtures. * Removal, transport and disposal of loose-packed pharmaceuticals. * Removal, transport and disposal of solid waste. * 24-Hour environmental emergency response. Period of Performance: One (1) Base Year and two (2) Option Years. Each response should include the following Business Information: a. DUNS b. Company Name c. Company Address d. Type of Company (i.e. small business, 8(a), woman owned, veteran owned, etc.) as validated via the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). All offerors must register on the CCR located at http://www.ccr.gov/index.asp e. Company Point of Contact, Phone and Email Address GENERAL INFORMATION Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other materials that demonstrates their ability to meet the forgoing requirements. Firms with the capability of providing the requirement as listed above are required to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502(b) whether or not this procurement will be set aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under the North American Industrial Classification (NAIC) code 562211 with a size standard of $12.5. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. The capability statement should not exceed 15 pages and be in sufficient detail so that the Government can determine the experience of your firm to provide the requirements above.
