- ECONOMIC PRICE ADJUSTMENT QUESTIONNAIRE VA PALO ALTO HEALTH CARE SYSTEM CAPITAL ASSET IMPROVEMENTS The Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM) located in Washington, DC is conducting a survey regarding inclusion of an Economic Price Adjustments (EPA) clause for steel products for VA-101-11-RP-0073; Project Number is 640-424, VA Palo Alto Health Care System Capital Asset Improvements, Palo Alto, CA 94304. The EPA questionnaire is below. Please complete and return to me the EPA questionnaire within seven (7) days from the posting date of this announcement. The VA Palo Alto Health Care System project capital asset improvements project will consist of the construction of a three-story, approximately 174,000 GSF Polytrauma/Blind Rehabilitation Center and associated site utilities; the demolition of approximately 64,000 GSF of seismic exceptionally high risk two-story Building 48 and two-story Building 2 Wing C and associated site utilities; and the construction of a four-story, approximately 210,000 GSF, cast-in-place, 600-Car Parking Structure. Note: EPA type examples: Adjustments based on established prices, actual cost, or cost indexes. 1)Is your company familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause for Economic Price Adjustments (EPA) on fixed-price construction contracts? 2)Would the inclusion of an EPA clause for steel products influence your decision to bid on the VA Palo Alto Health Care System Capital Asset Improvements project? 3)What type of EPA for steel products would most affect your decision to bid on the VA Palo Alto Health Care System Capital Asset Improvements project? 4)Did your company ™s present or recent construction contracts include any type of EPA for steel products?
