Description
THIS IS NEITHER A SYNOPSIS NOR A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT request to conduct market research for developing a procurement strategy for a possible upcoming opportunity entitled, " Albeni Falls Dam DC Boards and Breakers Replacement" located in Bonner County, Idaho. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified Small Businesses (SB), 8(a), Small Disadvantage Business (SDB), Woman Owned Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or HUBZone prime contractor business sources and their size classifications relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237990. Depending upon the responses in the small business categories listed above, the solicitation will either be set aside in one of the latter categories or be issued as unrestricted open to both small and large business.. Description of Work: Demolish existing: Preferred 115VAC Panelboards and 125VDC Panelboards. Furnish, Install, and Test new: 2 separate Preferred 115VAC Panelboards, and 4 separate 125VDC Panelboards. Work includes conduit, cable tray, wiring, disconnects, transformers, switchboards, enclosures, annunciator panel, chargers, and inverters (per system as applicable). Work includes core drilling, wall penetration (up to 10" x 10"), and installation of hydrogen monitoring system. The estimated cost range for this project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 million. Responses to the Sources Sought Synopsis should be received as soon as possible but no later than 2:00 pm (Pacific Time) on Thursday, April 25, 2011. The responses should be forwarded to the attention of: Bonnie Kirmse, Contract Specialist, by email: bonnie.j.kirmse@usace.army.mil. Your email should include a description of your firm and its services, your firm's name, address, and CAGE code and/or DUNS number. Please provide the following: 1)Please provide a bonding letter. Your firm shall demonstrate the ability to bond a $5 million project. 2)Examples of similar work your team has successfully completed within the past 5 years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 237990 with a size standard of $33.5 million. Please note that this synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Corps. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit complete information describing their interest and ability to meet all requirements stated above. NOTE: there are no plans and specs for this project at this time. Ask NO technical questions, as answers to technical questions are only available through an online system during the solicitation process.
