Description
Request for Information (RFI) Subject: Sales of Fuel Oil, Reclaimed (FOR) This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) only. This Request for Information is not a request for proposals (RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The purpose of this Request for Information is to identify potential vendors who are interested in the purchase Fuel Oil Reclaimed (FOR). FOR supplied by the Government is expected to meet or exceed specifications contained in MIL-F-24951B (SA), 10 FEB 95 (NSN 9140-01-068-6903) and is not considered to be Hazardous Material. However; fuel is typically sold "AS IS". "AS-IS" means the Government makes no express or implied warranty as to quantity, kind, character, quality, weight, size, or description of any of the product, or its fitness for any use or purpose. FOR is typically sold in U.S. Gallons. Occasionally, DLA Energy, will release solicitations for the sale of Fuel Oil Reclaimed (FOR) at Fleet Industrial Supply Centers in San Diego, CA, Puget Sound, WA, and Pearl Harbor, HI. Upon release of solicitation, potential offerors would be invited and urged to inspect the product being sold prior to submitting an offer. Award is made to the responsible vendor, whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, would be the most advantageous to the Government. The successful offeror would be expected to remove FOR from the specified activity's tanks by the date specified in the contract, using the mode of transportation specified (Tank Truck, Barge, etc.). Payment for product shall be made within ten calendar days after the Government transfers title and invoices to the purchaser. Vendors interested in sales of Fuel Oil Reclaimed are asked send a response to the primary point of contact listed on this page.
