- Description
- WA NPS OLYM 11(1), Lake Crescent Riprap Bank Armoring; Olympic National Park, Park County, Washington. The project work consists of 30 sites over 8.5 miles of excavation and riprap placement for bank stabilization. All work will be completed via lake access on a barge. See "Description of Work" for additional details. NOTICE OF SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY WA NPS OLYM 11(1), Lake Crescent Riprap Bank Armoring; will be solicited to the eight (8) Washington MATOC Contractors. Information on the IDIQ contractors may be found on our web site at: http://www.wfl.fhwa.dot.gov/contracting/construction/idiq/wa-area.htm This project is anticipated to be solicited in May 2011. Project magnitude is under $500,000. Project begins approximately 27 miles west of Port Angeles, WA Work shall be completed by October 12, 2011. The PROJECT DESCRIPTION with additional project information are in electronic format only and are posted with this synopsis. Registering at ADD TO WATCHLIST box insures notification when solicitation documents are posted. When solicitation documents are issued, the REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL ( specifications and plans ) will be posted at this link. FINANCING FOR SMALL BUSINESSES: This paragraph announces possible financing available to small businesses. The three types of businesses that are eligible to receive a loan through this program are: (1) Firms that have received DBE certification from a state or local transportation agency; (2) Firms that have been certified by the SBA as a Small Business; and (3) Firms that have received a disability rating by the Veteran's Administration and have certified themselves as a SDVOSB. Start-up businesses are not eligible to receive a STLP line of credit and should contact the SBA for information about other possible forms of financial assistance. (NOTE - This paragraph does not reserve this solicitation for these types of business) : The Department of Transportation's (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
