- NASA/KSC has a requirement for twenty-seven (27) bookcase support modules to beinstalled in Firing Room 1 of the Launch Control System (LCS), in accordance with theattached eight (8) page specification.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The provisions and clauses are those ineffect through FAC 2005-39. Quote shall include a breakout of pricing for all items andservices requested. A single award will be made for all items; multiple awards will notbe made to this solicitation. All offerors must have active registrations in both theCentral Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and CertificationsApplication. This information can be found at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/Selection and award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror.Technical acceptability will be determined by review of information submitted by theofferor, which must provide a description in sufficient detail to show that productsoffered meet the Government's requirements. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing to Chelsea M. Poling,OP-MS, Kennedy Space Center FL 32899, chelsea.poling@nasa.gov no later than April 22,2011.Offerors will submit quotes via email to the address above by 8:00 AM, EST April 27,2011.It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (ifany).
