Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia seeks sources sought for the Ground Renewable Expeditionary Energy System (GREENS). The GREENS is a portable system comprised of a battery system, a controller, and the necessary cables for connection with energy producing and energy consuming sources. The GREEN System harvests energy from many different sources, distributes the energy using an intelligent management system, and stores excess harvested energy. The Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking input from companies on the draft requirement provided in the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) and draft Performance Specification (PS). The Governments seeks to ascertain the degree to which the GREENS system requirement can be met and the rough order of magnitude costs to deliver up to 500 systems system within a 5 year period. In your response to this Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information at a minimum provide the following: Information on your solution, whether it is data on existing systems, or development approach for new systems. A Rough Order of Magnitude on system cost, production quantity breaks, and manufacture ramp up and sustainable rate. If the requested 500 systems in 5 years is unobtainable, please provide best case delivery schedule. Information on corporate position, to include whether you are a Small Business and/or if you have any applicable products on GSA. This data will help the Government shape its acquisition strategy for this capability. This sources-sought / Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request For Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire follow-on acquisitions. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such data. Responses to this RFI shall be appropriately labeled with the RFI number and title and provided via compact disc and/or hard copy due to E-Mail data volume limitation.
