- The VA Dallas,VISN 17 Contracting Division has a requirement for construction services. General Information: Contractor shall provide all supervision; labor; material and equipment to remove two existing 400 HP Boilers; one existing 200 HP Boiler and associated piping necessary to install new boilers. Work includes but not limited to electrical, controls; piping, stacks; feed pumps, compressors; chemical pumps, energy management/control system; fuel oil pumps; roof repair and all associated boiler components and operational procedures. The contractor is responsible for providing; installing and maintaining a temporary boiler connected to the facility steam distribution system located in the Steam Tunnel south of Boiler Plant. This work is located in Building No.11., VA North Texas Health Care System, Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center, 1201 E. 9th Street, Bonham, Texas 75418. The type of contract is firm fixed-price. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220, 14.0 million small business size standard and the acquisition is 100% percent Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) & Veteran Owned Business (VOSB) set-a-side. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The issued date for solicitation is on or about April 20, 2011 with a closing date on or about June 1, 2011. There will not be a public bid opening. The resulting contract will be awarded utilizing FAR Part 15 Source Selection techniques Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. One award is anticipated from this solicitation the awardee shall be a responsible Business whose proposal conforms to all of the requirements of the solicitation. The Government will conduct a Site Visit, dates to be announced in the forth coming solicitation. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a hard paper copy. Notification of amendments will be made via the Internet. It is the vendor's responsibility to check the Internet daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. Vendors must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) AND VETBIZ as a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business in order to receive a Veteran Affairs Government contract award.
