- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood the FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to procure on a sole source basis from APCON, Inc., a quantity of one (1) APCON INTELLAPATCH 144 Physical Layer Switch Chassis, Part Number ACI-3144-XE; a quantity of one (1) 36 Port Gigabit Fiber Ethernet Blade, Part Number ACI-3010-E36-4, with a quantity of thirty-six (36) SFP Transceivers per blade, Part Number ACI-0200-181-R; a quantity of one (1) 36 Port Gigabit Fiber Ethernet Blade, Part Number ACI-3010-E36-4, with a quantity of eighteen (18) SFP Ethernet Transceivers, Part Number ACI-0075-100-R and a quantity of eighteen (18) SFP Ethernet Transceivers, Part Number ACI-0100-200-R; and NetVis Software “ Single Switch License, Part Number ACI-2081-001. This procurement will be sole source as the APCON switch can support up to 144-ports in only four rack units. It is also the only switch that allows a mix of 1GB and 10GB ports on the same blade. The product is unique for optical connectivity in that it shows transmit/receive levels, current bias, temperature, and voltage on a per-port basis in the web GUI and command line interface. Lastly, a unique APCON port-locking feature permits ports to be locked when an exercise is being conducted. This item will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The closing date is 10:00 AM ET on 19 APRIL 2011. The anticipated award date is 29 APRIL 2011. All items are to be priced FOB-Destination, Dahlgren, VA. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED ON THIS NOTICE.
