Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a sole source basis from Sonalysts, Inc., 215 Parkway N, Waterford CT 06385-1209 for the development of software to support High Level Architecture (HLA) Modifications This software development project would use the Sonalysts Combat Systems “ Dangerous WatersTM (SCS-DW) naval Simulation Engine as the underlying Software Architecture. The introduction of any other similar system by any other manufacturer for these applications is not considered to be in the best interest of the Government with regard to configuration, performance and cost. This procurement will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. FOB Destination to Virginia Beach, VA shall apply. The North American industry Classification System Code is 335911 with a size standard of 500 employees. The closing date is 20 April 2011. The anticipated award date is 21 April 2011. All responsible parties may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
