Description
This is a modification to the synopsis entitled RESEARCH FACILITIES AND ENGINEERINGSUPPORT SERVICES (RF&ESS), reference number DD11374119R, which was initially posted onFebruary 23, 2011. You are notified that the following changes are made:The Government will hold an Industry Day meeting at the Dryden Flight Research Center(DFRC) on May 18, 2011, to discuss the subject procurement with potential offerors. There will be an opportunity for participants to meet confidentially with Governmentrepresentatives at the meeting.Goals of the Industry Day meeting are to:(1) familiarize participants with DFRC facilities, culture and organizational structureand how RF&ESS requirements support accomplishing the Centers mission;(2) present the current status of the RF&ESS acquisition strategy, including possible setasides, procurement schedule and contract type and duration;(3) permit potential offerors an opportunity to network and discuss teaming orsubcontracting arrangements; and(4) allow industry representatives an opportunity to make a private presentation of theircorporate RF&ESS capabilities to the Government.Meeting Agenda:0800-0830: Check-In / Sign-up for One-on-One Session, if desired0830-0900: Welcoming Introduction/Reminders/Logistics Items0900-0915: Opening Remarks0915-0930: RF&ESS Requirements Overview0930-1100: Individual WBS Presentations1100-1130: Break1130-1200: RF&ESS Acquisition Strategy1200-1230: Open Q & A1230-1330: Lunch1330-1630: One-on-ones (as required)Registration:Please register by contacting Rich Swanson via email at: richard.m.swanson@nasa.gov.Participants must register no later than 2 p.m. PDT, May 11, 2011. Registration will belimited to three individuals per organization.Use the attached Visit Request form (DFRC735-1), or attached DFRC 736-1 for foreign nationals, to provide the requiredinformation. If an organization wishes to have more than three attendees, they maysubmit additional names that will be placed on a waiting list.Use a 2nd Visit Requestform to identify additional attendees, clearly indicating that it lists additional names. If, following the May 11 registration cut-off, there are fewer than 75 registrants,additional attendees will be added from the waiting list (based on the earliest dates the2nd Visit Request forms were received by the Government) until capacity is reached. When registering, please provide the following information (either as a separate sheetaccompanying the Visit Request form(s) or in the body of the email request): The names and cell phone numbers of anticipated attendees Whether or not your company is interested in attending a hour one-on-one sessionwith Government personnelTravel to DFRC:Attached to this notice are three maps for your convenience in traveling to the DFRC. Note that it may take at least 2 hours driving time from the Los Angeles area to thebase, depending on traffic. If there are difficulties at the Air Force gate when youarrive, please contact Ms. Leslie Williams at 661-810-4977. Also attached is a list oflocal motels/hotels for your information.Participants to this meeting will be arriving at the Center about the same time as manyGovernment and contractor employees, as well as other visitors. To avoid congestion, youwill likely need to park before the guard shack and walk to the Visitor Control sectionof the Integrated Support Facility (ISF) (Building 4825see circled areas on the 3rdmap). Guards will ask that you present your drivers license, car registration and proofof insurance. The meeting will take place in the auditorium section of the ISF. Pleaseallow sufficient time to drive, park and check-in prior to the 8:30 am meeting starttime. The due date for responses is extended to establish a registration deadline.Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. Thesedocuments will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWWbrowser application.
