- Latrine Buildings for Double Head Cabbage and Hattieville Schools. The Contractor shall construct a 19'6"x 19'6" restroom and septic tank for two locations. The Contractor shall use the provided Restroom design as a guideline for constructing the restrooms. The restroom sshall have a male and female side that will consist of seven (7) standard toilet, two (2) handicap toilets, four (4) sinks, one (1) urinal trough, and two (2) wall mounted mirrors. The Contractor shall provide a toilet paper holder and hook in each toilet. The Contractor shall provide a soap dispenser, hook, nd towel holder bar. For the handicap toilet stalls, the Contractor shall provide aluminum grab bars. The restroom shall have the following: reinforced concrete strip footing, reinforced concrete spread footing, reinforced concrete floor slab, concrete masonry units walls, exterior/interior plastered masonry walls, reinforced concrete columns and beams painted with latex paint, reinforced concrete roof slab. protected with epoxy base material, plastered reinforced concrete drop ceiling slab protected with latex paint, painted metal exterior doors and frames, solid wood interior doors varnished protected and metal frames, aluminum commercial grade white sliding window, commercial grade hardware, a master key system lock, fluorescent light fixtures with electronic ballast for interior light fixtures, high pressure sodium type for exterior light fixtures, latex exterior and interior paint, anti-skid ceramic floor tile high traffic type 5 for interior flooring, 20 cm ceramic floor tile for wall base, double ivory with grounding electrical receptacle, grounded electrical panels, and protected electrical conductors. Septic tanks shall include septic, soak away pit, leach field, connections, fittings, and accessories. Contractor shall provide a septic tank. Contractor shall verify the capacity of this tank to meet current school demand. Finished floor elevation of this building shall be a minimum of 50 mm above the highest adjacent finished ground surface. The finished ground surface of the site within a 6 m radius of the new buildings shall be shaped, graded, and backfilled as necessary to direct water drainage away from the restroom and towards the natural drain with a minimum slope of 2%. In addition to the new construction, at the Hattieville School site construction will include the renovations of the existing latrine building. The interior and exterior of the building shall be painted. The interior renovations will include replacing broken toilets, resurfacing existing floors, replacing stall doors and exterior doors, installation of electrical systems, and a new sidewalk between latrine buildings. Place of Performance: Double Head Cabbage and Hattiville, Belize Contract award evaluation Information: The award will be based on Lowest Priced offeror considering past performance. Magnitude: The estimated construction cost for this projects is between, $25,000 and $100,000 U.S. Dollars Construction Time: Will be available in the solicitation, estimated publish time of the solicitation is on or about 27 May 2011 Obtaining the solicitation: The solicitation, including the drawings and specifications, will be available for download from FebBiz Ops-website: http:www.fbo.gov. All notifications of changes to the solicitation shall be made through the internet only. It is the contractor's responsibility to check for any posted changes.
