Description
Contractor shall supply and maintain all chemicals, equipment, testing device kits, and provide all labor, materials and supervision necessary to keep the water-cooling and heating systems treated at the DOE Headquarters facilities located in Washington D.C. and Germantown MD. Water treatment is required to maintain Chilled, condenser, heating water & steam systems from gathering scale, preventing corrosion, and keeping micro-biological growths from surviving in the systems and the piping associated with them. All chemicals shall be liquid and will be provided by the contractor. Contractor is required to submit a written service report including chemical analysis and recommendations to keep systems maintained properly each visit and provide this information to the Building Operations Foreman. In the event it has been determined that fouling has occurred in any of the systems requiring servicing it shall be done at no additional cost to the customer. Closed system water losses shall be covered under normal conditions such as required packing gland leaks and seasonal change-over periods. Contractor shall submit separate invoices for each site on a monthly basis. Forrestal invoices shall include an ?F? suffix at the end of each invoice #, Germantown invoices shall contain a 'G' suffix accordingly. SAFETY Contractor shall submit an OSHA compliant safety plan for review and approval prior to the commencement of any service activities. All areas shall be left clean and in its original condition. All employees must be US Citizens. Systems to be maintained: Line Item # 1, GERMANTOWN, MD.
