Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement, in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, to provide weld repairs to one each class rudder stock from the USS Nimitz. Period of performance is 4/29/2011 through 23 May 2011. Weld repairs shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-2191-ACN-1. All nondestructive testing (NDT) shall be in accordance with NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271. Also reference solicitation N00406-11-R-1145. The Government anticipates issuance of Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) with interested vendors in response to this Master Solicitation. Interested vendors are required to sign the solicitation, signifying their concurrence with the terms and conditions as well as note the services for which they would like to be considered in the solicitation. This notice is for an individual requirement for weld repair services outlined on CLIN 0001 in the solicitation The specific work statement for the required services will be issued on an individual solicitation and sent to BOA holders, as well as posted to the NECO website. Firms who do not possess a BOA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit the Navy to perform an assessment of their BOA application and to execute the applicable BOA without impacting the customer ™s need dates. This requirement to be solicited on an unrestricted basis using commercial, simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation factors resulting in award of a Firm-Fixed Price, Supply type contract. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 20 April 201 with a closing on 26 April 2011. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offerors to access the posted documents. Prospective offerors should register themselves on the NECO website. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. Offerors must also be registered in the Contractors Central Registration (CCR) in order to participate in this procurement at http://www.ccr.gov.
