Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a one time, fixed price, sole source contract with Sumuri Forensics Simplified, P.O. Box 252, Wyoming, Deleware 19934, under Request for Quote (RFQ) E012935. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). This notice will be distributed only through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fedbizopps.gov. Sumuri Forensics Simplified is to provide Macintosh Forensic Survival Course - Level 1 Training for Macintosh products on May 16-20 in Menlo Park, CA. Based on market research utilizing information obtained from industry sources, it has been determined that the FBI's requirement can only be provided Sumuri Forensics Simplified. Sumuri Forensics Simplified, Macintosh Forensic Survival Course - Level 1 Training is the only training capable of meeting the following requirements: 1) The ability to identify, preserve and analyze data from a computer that is admissible in court. Allows for trainees to acquire the knowledge in proper seizure, acquisition, analysis, and documentation of examination on an Intell-Based Macintosh computer, that is performed in a forensically sound manner. 2) Training further provides these same requirements on other Apple products such as the Apple iPod, iPad, and Iphones. 3) A 5-day hands on course. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 10:00 am, (EST), Monday, April 25, 2011, by email only, to Mr. Jacob Gessel, Contracts Specialist, at Jacob.gessel@ic.fbi.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination not to compete this procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
