Material: Aluminum, connectors, tubes,clevises, lock bolts and collars. This part requires engineering sourceapproval by the design control activity in order to maintain the qualityof the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, andmanufacturing knowledge by the qualified sources require acquisition ofthe part from the approved sources. An alternate source must qualify inaccordance with the design control activities procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government activity. Currently Kit Pack Company (cage code: 30842), and Money Aircraft,Inc (cage code: 10000) are the only known sources that can satisfy theGovernment requirements. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors orpotential offerors during the proposal development phase of thisacquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish theauthority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but tocommunicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. Whenrequested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as tosource of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in theevaluation of proposal or in the source selection process.
