- Description
- THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY. An Award will not be generated from this notice or any responses to this notice. Statement of Need: The proposed acquisition is a new acquisition for personal and non-personal services to provide assistive support personnel (approximately 400 FTEs) in the installations supported by Joint Task Force National Capital Region Medical's (JTF CapMed) Area of Responsibility. JTF CAPMED is a new DoD organization which was established as a result of the 1995 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. JTF CAPMED is responsible for MTFs in the NCR previously under the operation and control of the Army and Navy Surgeon Generals respectively. Personnel will support both clinical and non-clinical staff (e.g., Department of the Army/Navy/Air Force military personnel, Department of Defense (DoD) civilian employees or other contracted staff) in accomplishing its mission of providing services to eligible beneficiaries. Assistive support personnel services will be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession and applicable professional specialty organizations; the Joint Commission (JC) standards', applicable Department of Defense (DoD) and service specific regulations and policies', and installation policies and procedures. The contract employee shall provide services in conjunction with other non-contract providers to include but not limited to physicians, nurses and other ancillary support personnel. Contract employees shall give the highest regard to patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Association's Bill of Rights for Patients. A need exists for long term assistive support personnel to provide non-personal services (NAICS 561990 size standard $7M). This requirement will be awarded using the lowest price technically acceptable procedures. QUESTIONS: 1. Are there small businesses capable of providing assistive support services in the necessary quantities? 2. Are there small business subcontract capabilities? 3. Any relevant feedback is welcome
