- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to identify potential small business concerns for determining whether to set aside the acquisition for HUBZone concerns, 8(a) concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 562111 (Solid Waste Collection) with a size standard of $12.5 million. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, personnel, materials, equipment, and secure transportation necessary to provide collection and off-site Secure Document Destruction and recycling; and collection and recycling of other materials including paper, plastic, cardboard, glass, and aluminum from Social Security Administration (SSA) buildings in the Baltimore, Maryland region. SSA estimates the current volume of paper recyclables at approximately 2 million pounds annually, and the volume of all other recyclables at approximately half a million pounds annually. Security clearances will be required in the performance of this work. SSA anticipates awarding a long term (base year and subsequent option years), firm fixed price, commercial services contract. Multiple awards are not applicable. Small business concerns responding to this sources sought notice must: 1. Indicate your company's DUNS number and applicable small business status category(ies) based on the size standard above and applicable regulations related to HUBZone, 8(a), and SDVOSB status. 2. Provide a capability statement inclusive of experience in the form of an outline of previous projects for specific relevant work completed or currently being performed of equivalent magnitude. Include contract numbers, description of work, points of contact with email addresses and phone numbers, and any other pertinent information that would enable the government to assess your company's capabilities. The government reserves the right to set this acquisition aside for HUBZone concerns, 8(a) concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business based on the responses it receives. It is imperative that firms respond with the required information for capabilities to be accurately evaluated. Capability statement responses should be limited to five (5) pages.
