Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, VA Midwest Health Care System (VISN 23) Network Contract Activity (NCA) on behalf of the Minneapolis VA Minneapolis Health Care System (MVAHCS) anticipates soliciting proposals and consequently awarding single or multiple contracts for three (3) 1.0 Full-Time Employee Equivalent (FTEE) Board Certified/Eligible Anesthesiologists (BLS/ACLS certified) to provide academic, administrative, and clinical anesthesiology services at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis MN 55417. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and VAAR part 873(Simplified acquisition procedures for health-care resources) and will be evaluated with procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Small Business Set Aside. The proposed contract period shall be for a base period, July 1, 2011 (or date of contract award) through June 30, 2012, with two (2) one-year option periods. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed-price contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621111 and the size standard is $10.0 million. The solicitation will be available on or about April 21, 2011. The date is not firm and may change due to events out of our control. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. NO proposers list is maintained. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access in FedBiz Opps. CCR and Vetbiz registration/certification must be current and active to be eligible for contract award.
