Description
Thule Tracking Station DS3 J&A Americom Government Services Inc. (DBA) SES World Skies U.S. Government Solutions, 2010 Corporate Ridge, Suite 550 McLean, VA 22102, was awarded a $10,112,924.00, firm-fixed-price contract for the Thule Tracking Station DS3 Service on 20 April 2011. The contract provides the Government a dedicated (full period) DS3 (44.736 Mbps), full duplex, symmetrical, serial communications digital circuit between Thule AB and Schriever AFB utilizing commercial satellite bandwidth, contractor-provided hub equipment, teleport services and contractor-provided antennas. The period of performance is 1 May 2011 through 30 April 2016 (a one-year base with four one-year options). Performance will be between Thule AB and Schriever AFB. An RFI was posted to Government Point of Entry - FEDBIZOPPS on 21 December 2010. The Government's notice of intent to award the Thule Tracking Station DS3 contract on a sole source basis to SES USGS was posted to Government Point of Entry - FEDBIZOPPS on 2 March 2011. Solicitation was issued to SES World Skies U.S. Government Solutions. The statutory authority used for this OTFAOC contract action is 10 U.S.C. §2304(c) (1) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirement - FAR Part 6.302-1. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott AFB Illinois is the contracting activity. Contracting points of contact are Noah O. Vasquez, 618-229-9376 and John M.
