Description
Under Statutory Authority § 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Medi Stim USA Inc, Maple Grove, MN for a VeriQ Patency Verification System for the Cardiac Surgical Unit at the William S. Middleton VAH, Madison, WI. The VeriQ system is the only system that allows blood flow measurement with either a transit time probe or a Doppler probe. The system also measures blood flow up to 20hz, and provides a digital as well as a hard copy display of up to four (4) flow curves simultaneously. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and FOB Destination. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service to the Contracting Officer by 2:00PM (CST) May 2, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5457. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Medi Stim USA Inc.
