Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Construction & Facilities Management is looking for General Construction firms that are SDVOSB, and VOSB. Additionally, the VA is looking for General Construction firms that are SBA certified in the following programs: 8(a), 8(a) ANC, HUBZone, SDB and WOSB. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS Code 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 Million and must have general construction and site development experience with contracts as the prime contractor. The estimated magnitude for this project is between five million ($5,000,000) and ten million ($10,000,000). A bid bond as well as a performance bond will be required. Contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment for landscaping operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Project encompasses approximately 2,000 linear feet (+/-) of 10 foot wide concrete covered walkway that connects multiple buildings, parking lots, and other facilities on the Medical Center Property. It also includes approximately 1,450 linear feet (+/-) of roadway, widening of roadway to 2 lanes around the "Central Lawn" for improved circulation around the Medical Center Property, including drop off lane into B-3. Include the removal and relocation, as well as adjustment of various utilities with-in the cross-section of the covered concrete walkway and widened Central Lawn roadway. These utilities include water, sewer, drainage, and gas. The project will include an extensive amount of demolition of multiple concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, existing asphalt paving, power poles, signs, and other appurtenances sidewalks, drives, parking, curb and gutter, and other appurtenances in order to construct both items in the project. Provide replacement trees as prescribed by Mississippi SHPO, replacement to be 1.5 new trees (3" caliper minimum) for every historic tree removed and may occur throughout the VAMC campus location per RE staff. Provide electrical improvements for covered walkway and central lawn. Provide landscape for the Central Lawn, Generator Farm, and the following buildings: B-1, B-2, B-17, B-19, and B-53. The covered walkway should be congruous with the architectural style of the medical center, with gabled metal roofs; framework should be open connections to the buildings. The walkway should be wide enough to accommodate emergency vehicles. The project Architect is Blitch Knevel / Leo A Daly Joint Venture, 8600 Indian Hills Drive, Omaha, Nebraska 68114-4039. The project site is located on the Grounds of the VA Medical Center, Biloxi, Mississippi. At this time, no solicitation exists, therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION. Small Business Contractors and Vendors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses should include the following information: 1. Name and address of your firm. 2. Name, phone number, and email address of a point of contact. 3. DUNS number. 4. Bonding capacity. 5. Capabilities Statement. 6.Certified of Small Business Status, 7. Available Bonding Capacity, 8. Construction experience of similar projects in size and complexity. Respondents are requested to submit a Capability Statement that exhibits clear and convincing evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience to perform the listed tasks.
