Description

The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System, 2501 West 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD intends issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit a single, firm fixed-price contract to "Paint Exterior of VA Water tower" project 438-11-116. Work shall consist of cleaning/ sandblasting and painting of the exterior surfaces of a 100,000 gallon (nominal) Sioux Falls VA Water Tower. Existing coating system is lead-based paint and/or primer requiring appropriate removal and abatement. The interior of this tank was recently rehabilitated under separate contract. Solicitation with specifications will be available on/about 10 May 2011. Pre-bid site visit will be announced at the time of release of the solicitation. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $ 500,000.00. The total construction performance period is 365 days after receipt of Notice To Proceed. This procurement is 100% set-aside for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB). All bidders must be registered in CCR at http://www.ccr.gov, ORCA at https://orca.bpn.gov/, AND at VETBIZ http://www.vetbiz.gov to be eligible for award. NAICS 238320 applies-size standard is $14.0 million. Bid Bond will be required in the amount of 20% of bid, and Performance and Payment bonds will be required upon award of task orders. Specs and plans will be available for download from the fedbizopps site. http://fbo.gov Amendments to this solicitation will be posted at the fedbizopps website.
