Description

Performance Work Statement RFP for E-4B MB1 AIU Obsolescence Upgrade 1) The Raytheon Corporation will provide an engineering design, kit purchase, Technical Orders, training, installation and certification of the Mod Block 1 (MB1) Audio Infrastructure Upgrade (AIU) Obsolescence Upgrade. Installation will occur between November 2011 and December 2012 with 3010 appropriations being used to fund the effort. 2) This MB1 AIU Obsolescence Upgrade is highly specialized equipment which provides access to the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN). DRSN is the Department of Defense's (DoD) global senior level secure voice telephone and conferencing system. The MB1 AIU Obs Upgrade addresses the obsolete AIU components to ensure mission capability. In addition, this prototype design, installation and certification will provide the E-4B aircraft with continuing secure voice and conferencing capabilities.
