Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs San Diego Regional Office is issuing Request for Information (RFI) VA377-11-RI-0013 to identify potential sources having the skills, capabilities, experience, and bonding to perform the described work. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The construction services will support Veterans Benefits Administration Los Angeles and San Diego Regional Offices for remodeling of veterans homes located throughout Southern California, under NAICS code 236118. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment and supervision for various adaptive housing remodeling projects. Typical projects include, but are not limited to: installation of ramps, handrails, and adaptations to bathroom, kitchens, doors, walkways or garages to improve overall accessibility of home. The construction company should have a working office located within 250 miles of San Diego VR&E Office and/or Los Angeles VR&E Office. The projects will range from $2,000-$100,000. This is a Sources Sought Notice only. The information gathered from this request for information is for planning purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected. This does not constitute a solicitation. No solicitation is currently published, pending, or available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be issued at a later date. Responses to this Request for Information are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Vendor participation in this response or any informational session is not a promise of future business with the VA. The Government is not obligated, nor shall it pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. The determination of the acquisition strategy for this acquisition lies solely with the government. Interested parties may respond by submitting a qualifications letter stating the following information: a. Name and address of company; point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, and DUNS number b. Offer's interest in bidding in the solicitation when it is issued. c. Capability statement to perform a contract of this magnitude, complexity, and comparable work performed in the past 5 years in this location area. A brief description of the project, customer name, timeliness of performance, dollar value- provide at least two examples. The company personnel must be licensed in the state of California and show projects that were American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant. c. Confirmation that your firm is CVE Verified SDVOSB. Potential contractors must be registered in CCR (www.ccr.gov) and certified in VET Biz (www.vetbiz.gov). As a prospective offeror or bidder for this Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), you are verifying your company meets the status requirement of SDVOSB concern as established in 38 CFR 74. d. Documentation on company's bonding capacity and limitation. Please limit all responses to 3 pages. Responses shall be sent via email, no later than 4:00 p.m. PST on May 2, 2011.
